** ALI'S ENGAGEMENT!!!!! **

Oh the excitement!!!! Andrew Mills, the missionary Ali waited for while he served two years in the Buenos Aries West, Argentina Mission, proposed to her today at the castle at Disneyland! He had been over to talk to Chris and Kristin a couple of days ago, and we all knew that he planned on proposing today. By "all", I mean just about everyone EXCEPT Ali. She had no idea. She was hoping, but had no sure knowledge. Andrew, his sister Hailey, and three other friends drove over to Anaheim, CA in the very wee hours of the morning to be there when Disneyland opened. He waited until nearly 6:30 PM to propose!!!!! Over here in Mesa, we family members waited breathlessly ALL DAY LONG for him to finally pop the question. But he wanted to do it "right" and waited until just the right time and place. They were alone in one of the little alcoves in the Sleeping Beauty Castle when he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Yay! He had a lovely ring for her (we haven't seen it yet), and she was totally thrilled. Ali called Kristin right away- and Kristin called us. HOW EXCITING! ;-)

I immediately called my sisters, Denny's sisters and Pam- great news! Kristin called Mom and Pop, and texted lots of others. Plus, she put it on Facebook, which will alert nearly everyone!

Ali and Andrew are considering a wedding date in December, but nothing is set in stone. We think something is hilarious! The Mills family has suggested December 16th for the wedding- with a cruise beginning the next day WITH THE MILLS FAMILY! They would return on Christmas Eve. Imagine going on a cruise with your brand-new in-laws as your HONEYMOON! Oh my . . . . YIKES!
